Community Safety

  • $22 million to undertake urgent rectification works at existing youth detention facilities and to establish youth bail support accommodation facilities
  • $876 million to support police and emergency services and strengthen law and order
  • $8 million to construct a new Katherine Fire Station
  • $6.2 million to continue to implement the domestic and family violence reduction strategy
  • $6 million to replace the Alice Springs women's shelter
  • $1.5 million for the DriveSafe NT Remote program
  • $5 million for police resourcing and recruitment to work towards Government's commitment for more police officers on the beat
  • $3 million to upgrade the Alice Springs Domestic Violence Court
  • $1.5 million for the DriveSafe NT Remote Program
